Community Club January 2018 Meeting

Clear Lake Community Club Meeting Minutes

January 8, 2018

Meeting was called to order by Alison Blanchard-Avery.

Secretary’s Report: December minutes were read.

Treasure’s Report: $7,286.53

Old Business:

Santa Day– not much for food donations but raised $197.00 in cash donations for the food shelf.

Fireworks– Had a good turn out even though it was very cold outside. Everyone that attended was happy and pleased. We need better marketing like posters and putting it on the Wisconsin Tourism website.

New Business:

Non-profit status– Kyle Overby explained what and how becoming tax exempt is filed with the IRS. It was discussed on possibly partnering with someone and possibly starting a foundation. A motion was made by April Riniker to file for the club to become tax exempt, Lisa Duden 2nd

Event Chairperson– For each of the events that we have going on through out the year will have a chairperson and co-chairperson. Easier for people that would like to volunteer their time to help could pick just one event instead of all the events if they wanted. Each event has a binder with a detailed list on what needs to be done, what changes need to be made for the following year, and who to contact if help is needed. All information will be updated yearly to help go more smoothly for the following year.
