Meeting was called to order at 7:35 AM on July 26th, 2018 by Alison Blanchard. 7 people were in attendance.

  • Job Fair Update
    • Collected alumni information from social media and Heritage Days
    • Job Fair will be hosted by the school
    • Groups of 7th, 8th, 9th grade and 10th, 11th, 12th –by categorizing within 2 age groups speakers can adjust how they present to those age groups
    • Students will have a survey in Sept. to choose presenters in categories:
      • Something they like
      • Something they know nothing about
      • Something their friend chose
    • Possible dates (to be determined) Oct 22 or Oct 29
      • 8:30-11:30
        • 15 minute presentation to open
        • 3-30minute presentations
        • 1-25 minute presentation for #ClearLakeProud session
        • 30 minute break out presentation (closure)
      • Scholarship Opportunity: How did #ClearLakeProud session influence, reinforce, or inspire you to contribute to the community you live in?
    • Visit Polk County Magazine
      • Layout needed-goal to be published by October
      • Joey volunteered to be photographer
      • Other businesses to add: offer for $50 or $100 for each add
        • Email contact (1st attempt)
      • Include camping information
      • Update calendar of events
        • Garage sale separate from Heritage days
          • Friday before Kick-off to Summer (May 31st, 2019)
        • Highlight Holiday Stroll
      • Calendar
        • Need one more volunteer
        • Library collecting calendar information-send reminders
      • Proposed plan for updating
        • Vote on options
          • Main Street Projects
            • Gazebo or EMS lot
            • Site 4 (Gazebo site) was voted to start
          • Looking for volunteers to help with grants

            • Joey Monson moving photography business
              • Open by September 1st
            • Buhrbrothers breaking ground
            • MCS will be moving in town, 13 employees
